The new University of Florida homepage debuted on October 2. The “re-skin” of UFL.EDU is part of a strategic effort to make its online presence better reflect the dynamic teaching environment and world-class research taking place on campus.
UFIT and the Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing have partnered to build a more accessible, intuitive homepage as part of a larger website redesign and branding effort. The new design provides a reorganized layout and a dedicated carousel for university-wide announcements. All colleges and administrative units will have the opportunity to underscore their activities by placing content on the homepage.
“UFIT has been an extremely helpful partner to the Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing throughout the UF website redesign effort,” said Melanie Schramm, assistant vice president of Marketing. “The expertise, responsiveness, and professionalism of staff in UFIT has been an asset to our office and all those involved in the work.”
Units interested in adopting the new template will soon have access to accompanying templates and a branding style guide. For more information about the UFL.EDU redesign, visit https://marcom.ufl.edu/edu-redesign/.
