This summer UFIT collaborated with Stephen C. O’Connell Center staff to enhance the “O’Dome” time-tracking system. The recently-completed project provides benefits like more useful reports that will improve budget forecasting and billing capabilities for the facility.
“The combined efforts of UFIT, O’Connell Center staff, the Kronos implementation team, and Kronos Oracle support team resulted in a smooth transition that VASTLY improved reporting,” says O’Connell Center Associate Director Renee Musson. “We discovered that the software’s standard, delivered reports were insufficient for the budgeting and billing task we face. When that problem was brought to the project team’s attention, not only did they solve the problem–the improvements implemented take us to a whole new level.”
On average the O’Connell Center employs 400 students in part-time positions. In addition to time reporting usage, Kronos software is utilized to bill clients and manage staff budgeting, which can lead to more opportunities for cost savings. O’Connell Center staff use Kronos daily for reporting time to PeopleSoft, billing, budgeting, and research.
