Initial rollout of the myinvestiGator application took place in January 2013. Since then, faculty, Office of Research administrators, and Finance & Accounting and UFIT staff have been reviewing faculty feedback, planning for phase two of the application. Phase two of myinvestiGator will “go live” in myUFL on Monday, January 27. All phase one features and functionality remain intact.
What can you expect?
• New, more responsive interface
• Expanded search functionality
• Enhanced payroll and job information to better see who is getting paid on your grants
• Effort commitment data for increased compliance and monitoring
Another new feature is the Graphical Analysis, which displays burn rates and expense trending so faculty can more easily track grant spending. Brad Staats, Assistant Vice President for Contracts and Grants, said the project team carefully reviewed all comments received since the launch of myinvestiGator:
“MyinvestiGator’s success is substantially a result of the input received from researchers and their financial support staffs, so please continue to share any comments or suggestions with Stephanie Gray, Jim Ferrer, or me. While we couldn’t incorporate every suggestion, we’ve maintained notes on all suggestions and hope to add as many of these as possible in the next upgrade.”
