New UF Calendar Makes its Debut

Monthly View of new UF Calendar

The long-awaited new UF Calendar made its debut on July 30, part of the successful deployment of TERMINALFOUR.

The UF Calendar is great for students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and anyone else interested in campus events. The completely redesigned layout provides a significantly improved experience. Users have the option of viewing events by day, week, month, or year, and can filter events by type, like Academic dates or Art events. Users can also drill down for event particulars like event time(s), event details and contact information, as well as a map showing the event’s location. Since the design is now similar to other UF websites, the new calendar is also easier for people to navigate.

Selection of a centrally managed web content management system (WCM) was mandated by UF’s Web Services Advisory Committee. A requirement for any vendor under consideration was to have a full-featured calendar tool available as part of its WCM system.

A form is available online to submit your UF event for inclusion on the calendar. If you have any questions about event posting requirements, please email Kay Howell in University Relations.
