The UF community can stay up-to-date on IT project proposals and technology enhancements with UFIT’s Projects page. An updated project list is posted to UFIT’s website every week and includes details about each project’s sponsor, which governing organization approved the project, the project’s status, project objectives, and the expected delivery date. Each project manager’s (PM) email address is linked to his or her name, so anyone may contact the PM with questions or concerns.
“The project information page means everyone in the UF user community–not just IT staff–can gain an understanding of what IT projects are being planned or already underway,” said Troy Haynes, Program/Portfolio Manager in UFIT’s Enterprise Systems department. “Faculty and staff outside of the IT environment want to know what projects are being worked on for the benefit of the campus, and UFIT is committed to providing weekly updates on project progress.”
All projects are reviewed by representatives from the appropriate governance areas to ensure that planned work aligns with the strategic goals of the university. A project archive is also available to anyone interested in historical information related to completed projects.
