UF Information Technology’s Enterprise Systems (ES) underwent considerable restructuring in 2011. The goal of the reorganization was to improve the department’s business processes so ES can better serve the needs and mission of the university. Enterprise Systems is the department that manages numerous systems for the university, including ISIS and myUFL.
The restructuring of the 100+ member department included filling three director-level positions and hiring new–or refocusing the work of–existing staff members into newly defined manager positions. In addition to the new hires, the reorganizational effort also included interviews with employees to determine how each individual best fits into the new organizational structure. Career paths were also better defined to help staff focus on their long-term goals. The updated organizational chart is available on the ES Web site.
