‘Decision Day’ is February 14

UF students on the plaza

Valentine’s Day 2014 is not just about flowers and heart-shaped candy. It’s also the day approximately 25,000 freshmen applicants receive UF’s admission decisions. After 6 p.m. this Friday, students who applied for either Summer B, the Fall term, Innovation Academy, or to UF Online can check to see if they are the newest Gators.

Decision Day brings an extraordinary increase of traffic to UF’s systems. To prepare for this exceptional load, UFIT worked with UF’s Division of Enrollment Management to develop a new decision release system designed to open, control, and monitor traffic.

Due to heavy request volumes and demands on university systems, UFIT is asking that any non-urgent jobs and service requests be held until February 17, 2014.

If you encounter any systems issues this Friday, please do not hesitate to call (352-392-HELP [4357]) or email the UF Computing Help Desk. The UF Admissions website is the place to learn more about admission decisions and where to direct applicants to log in this Friday evening to check their status.
