Date announced for HR/Payroll Upgrade

Sept. 4 is the “go live” date for the university’s HR/Payroll software upgrade. The myUFL PeopleSoft HR/Payroll system is scheduled to be taken down on Aug. 31, so the upgrade work can take place over the Labor Day weekend.

Unlike 2011’s Finance systems upgrade, where training was released incrementally, all HR/Payroll upgrade training will be released simultaneously. Fully comprehensive HR and Payroll training will be available, as well as delta training, which will focus on changes to the system from the current version (8.8) to version 9.1. All training will be released in July and available online.

“Our training development schedule will allow us to make all of the training available at once and still provide campus with approximately two months to complete any training that is needed or required,” said Jodi Gentry, director of UF Training and Organizational Development and chair, myUFL change management. “Because the training will be available online, participants can take it at a time that is convenient for them.”

Preview sessions of the upgraded HR/Payroll system start in April, so campus will be able to get a sneak peek into what’s new, what’s changing and what’s improving in the new system.
