Stay Safe Online – At Home and at UF

Watch where you surf

In conjunction with UF’s Training & Organizational Development, each semester UFIT offers the popular Cyber Self-Defense workshop. The workshop, taught by information security engineer Derrius Marlin, offers up-to-date tips for wireless security, safe Web browsing, explains what happens when you send data over the internet, and provides an overview to encrypting and backing up files. The workshop is presented in language for end-users, so you don’t have to be an IT pro to get a lot of great information.

The workshop is offered on main campus in the HR building as well as the Health Science Center. The next workshop on main campus is scheduled for:
Monday, February 27, 2012 2:00 PM-4:00 PM

To register for a workshop log in to myUFL, click Main Menu, then navigate to Request Training Enrollment via My Self Service, Training and Development.
