Identity theft, phishing scams, and not being smart when texting or posting are just a few ways to get burned online. Help Gator Nation students become aware of information security issues by entering the UFIT Security Awareness Video & Poster Contest. First place winners in each category receive a mini iPad and second place finishers receive a flip-cam.
This contest is your opportunity to inform students about topics like preventing cyber-attacks, best practices when using social media, and tips for storing and sharing files. You can enter the contest by creating a poster, short video, or both. Use your talents to win a great prize and help students become aware of what to watch out for when online!
All entries are due by February 22, 2013.
Submission requirements and details are available on the contest Web page.
The winning poster design will be featured for two weeks on the UF homepage, as well as displayed in various locations around campus. The winning video will be submitted to WUFT-TV and featured on UF websites and social media. Additionally, all qualified entries will be forwarded to EDUCAUSE, to represent UF in their national contest.
For contest questions email the UFIT Communications group. Need more ideas for your poster or video? Check out UFIT’s Information Security and Compliance Website to learn about data security, staying safe online, and the latest alerts.
