Hey Gators, are you afraid of your technology after watching Black Mirror? As part of National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM), UFIT is hosting three events in the Hub to help you prevent your nightmare from turning into a reality.

Held every October, NCSAM raises awareness about the importance of protecting your online identity. The theme for 2019 is personal accountability and that includes phishing, social media awareness, and online privacy. Think you know all there is to know about staying safe online and protecting your privacy? Stop by the Hub on the dates below. Each day has a theme related to an episode of Black Mirror. Test your cybersecurity knowledge and win free swag/candy!

“Shut up and Dance” – Wednesday, Oct. 9, 9am – 12pm
“Hang the DJ” – Tuesday, Oct. 15, 9am – 12pm
“The Entire History of You” – Monday, Oct. 21, 1pm – 4pm

As part of the 2019 NCSAM outreach, UFIT will share security tips throughout the month of October. Follow @GoGatorsUFIT on Twitter and on Instagram and don’t let the unintended consequences of technology become your own personal Black Mirror horror story!
