The University of Florida recently received approval of its system security plan (SSP) for the UF Research Vault (“ResVault”). Meeting the requirements of NIST 800-171 is a significant milestone and enables more sponsored funding opportunities.

UFIT Research Computing invites you to learn more about ResVault and UF’s export controls environment by attending one of the following events:

ResVault – Export Control Awareness Day
Date and Time: Friday, February 23 │ 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Location: HPNP Building, 4th Floor, Room 4307

ResVault – Export Control Awareness Day
Date and Time: Tuesday, March 20 │ 4 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Location: Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Building (MAE-A), Room 303

Meeting Agenda (same for both events):
1. The purpose of ResVault
2. What does ResVault do?
3. How can ResVault work with your workflow?
4. Q & A

Research, IT, and administrative staff are encouraged to attend either session. Questions about topics from all areas of Research Computing’s expertise (e.g., HiPerGator, ResVault, ResShield, consulting) are welcome during the Q&A portion of the event. Questions about ResVault Day or about any high-performance computing services at UF may be emailed to Dr. Erik Deumens (deumens@ufl.edu).
