Sponsored Funding Proposal Support from UF Research Computing

Proposal Support - Ph.D. Student in BEARS Lab

UFIT offers a broad range of support for researchers preparing project proposals:

Budget Guidance and Letters of Commitment
Research Computing staff can recommend the appropriate service for a project proposal, based on its scope and funding level. Staff will also provide a letter of commitment stating that, should the project be selected for funding, the university ensures the resources outlined will remain viable throughout the life of the award.

Facilities Description
A detailed description of UF’s computing facilities and equipment is available to include in your project proposal. This description includes hardware infrastructure, capabilities, system capacity and redundancies in place, and staff support.

Data Management Planning
Most funding agencies require proposals to have a precise data management plan tailored to the best practices and standards of the particular research area. Research Computing works with the UF Libraries, who author a comprehensive data management resource guide. The Libraries also has a Data Management and Curation Working Group to assist researchers with data management planning needs.
