12pm-4pm
The Spring 2013 RC Day will be held on UF’s East Campus and include lunch and tour of the UF Data Center. Spring RC Day presentations focus on the new computing, storage, and networking capabilities recently installed at UF. The Spring RC Day agenda is available online.
“Scientists find themselves increasingly dealing with floods of data, but are limited by the available compute power and network bandwidth to process, transmit and share that data,” said Erik Deumens, director of Research Computing and the High Performance Computing Center. “With these investments in infrastructure, UF researchers can organize their work and data flows in ways that avoid these limitations.”
Registration for RC Day is limited, due to space limitations for lunch and the tour, so faculty and their staff are encouraged to register early.
