To maximize research staff time, UF Research Computing has consolidated three existing training sessions into one: Up and Running at UF Research Computing provides all of the information researchers and their staffs need to utilize high-performance computing resources and consulting expertise available at UF. The inaugural session of Up and Running at UF Research Computing is:

Thursday, June 18
1pm – 3pm
Physics Building, Room 2205

The workshop will begin with an overview of UF’s Research Computing services, move into a hands-on introduction to the Linux command line, and walk attendees through what they need to know to start running jobs on HiPerGator. Attendees should bring a computer with them so they can follow along with the exercises, and be sure they have a valid Research Computing user account prior to the training. To request an account, visit: http://www.rc.ufl.edu/help/account-request/. Pre-registration for this workshop is not required.

This session of Up and Running at UF Research Computing will also be broadcast via Adobe Connect at: http://ufat.adobeconnect.com/upandrunning/. For more information please email or call (352-273-1960) Associate Scientist Matt Gitzendanner.
