Going Beyond Batch Jobs on HiPerGator

UFIT is offering several trainings related to running interactive jobs and managing code and data on HiPerGator. All classes are free and held via Zoom video conferencing. A valid HiPerGator account is required to take any of the trainings. Anyone with questions about training offered by Research Computing staff is welcome to email training coordinator Matt Gitzendanner. Attendees should pre-register for each class they want to attend:
Jupyter Lab & Jupyter Notebooks for R, Python and More

This training covers using Jupyter notebooks on HiPerGator. JupyterLab is a web-based interactive development environment for R, Python, and other languages.
Git and GitHub.com

Thursday, Mar. 12, 10:40 – 11:30 a.m.
This training covers using Git on the command line on HiPerGator and using GitHub.com to host repositories. Git is a great tool for version control and collaborating with code, data sets, and other files. Attendees should have basic familiarity with the Linux command line.
Running MATLAB on HiPerGator

This training walks attendees through a hands-on example of using the MATLAB GUI, compiling MATLAB code, and submitting MATLAB jobs to the scheduler to run on the cluster.
