Upgraded Experience for First-Time Access to UF Wireless

On October 24, UFIT upgraded the experience that supports first-time secure access to the university’s wireless network for GatorLink account holders. As part of the upgrade, the pages a person clicks on to complete the wireless on-boarding process now match the university’s primary web pages, since the new UF template is being used.

In addition to the upgraded look and feel of the pages, customer feedback about how the pages operate were incorporated, leading to better functionality and ease of getting online: UFIT has improved support for MacOSX, iOS, and Android devices that are attempting to connect to the network for the first time. The most recent version of the university’s network on-boarding tool (xpressconnect) was incorporated during this upgrade as well.

Anyone who experiences difficulty with connecting to the UF Wi-Fi network can get 24/7 support from the UF Computing Help Desk via phone (352-392-HELP/4357) or email (helpdesk@ufl.edu). The Help Desk also has walk-in hours for 132 Hub listed here.
