This Saturday, the Heisman House is making a stop near the Swamp! Gator fans can upload photos, tweet, and participate in interactive games thanks to extensive planning and connectivity work provided by UFIT.
The Heisman House is a national traveling exhibit promoting the Heisman Trophy race. ESPN sportscaster Neil Everett and former UF quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Danny Wuerffel will host the event. Fans can meet Wuerffel and win prizes while they visit the House. Heisman House activities will be part of this Saturday’s ESPN College GameDay broadcast.
This past week, UFIT Network Services staff prepared for the event by planning the network connection site, establishing a connection path, and performing final Internet connectivity testing. A dedicated Ethernet line was also established to provide Internet access for the screens and interactive technology used during the event.
The Heisman House will be on the Reitz Union North Lawn on Saturday, November 15 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A lot of visitors are expected, so make plans to arrive early! For more information about the Heisman House, visit ESPN’s Heisman House website.
