Completing the Transition to Eduroam

Beginning Wednesday, September 11, UF community members whose devices are still connecting to the wireless network via the “UF” connection point (SSID) will be automatically redirected to for onboarding to “eduroam.” The benefits of the eduroam network becoming the sole wireless network for UF includes automatic worldwide secure connections in more than 6,000 locations. Eduroam is ready to travel when you are, so there’s no need to get anything special done to your laptop before you leave!

After all devices have been migrated to eduroam, the UF network connection point (SSID) will be turned off. Switching wireless connections only takes a minute:
1. Go to the “ufgetonline” onboarding wireless network from your device.
2. Follow the prompts, and you’ll connect to “eduroam”!

Please feel free to call (352-392-HELP) or visit (132 Hub) the UF Computing Help Desk during walk-in hours if you need help transitioning to eduroam on your mobile device(s). The friendly staff will be happy to help!
