Representatives of several universities in the Unizin Consortium are convening at UF’s East Campus this week to focus on advancing learning analytics for higher education.
“Unizin member institutions have centralized goals related to investing in student success at their universities,” said Andrew McDonald, UF’s IT Analyst for the Learning Ecosystem. “Bringing together super-technical and senior academic staff at the same meeting allows us to discuss the technology needs for advancing teaching tools and improving student outcomes while also integrating the pedagogical excellence that these universities are known for.”
Unizin, a 501(c)(3) organization, currently has 25 institutions representing nearly 1 million learners. UF joined Unizin as a founding member in 2014. In addition to learning analytics, Unizin leverages its members’ strength to impact higher education IT by contributing to the canon of best practices and sharing data related to educational technology. Members also partner on technology contract negotiations to achieve optimal pricing.
