The University of Florida’s mission is to create, conserve, and deliver knowledge though high-level research, teaching, clinical, and service programs. UFIT’s goal is to provide superior enterprise-wide IT services and operational excellence in support of the university’s mission.
Vice President and CIO Elias Eldayrie recently presented the division’s annual report, Supporting the University of Florida: UFIT Contributions: 2012-2013, to President Machen and his cabinet. The report is available online.
The Contributions Report presents highlights of the scope and range of services UFIT provides. The report is not a comprehensive list of all IT services, projects, and enhancements made in the last fiscal year, but a representation of some of the ways the UFIT division achieved goals outlined in the University of Florida’s Strategic Plan for IT: 2011-2013.
The Contributions Report is structured around the six areas of IT governance. Interviews with faculty and staff are also featured. Infographics that highlight trends in campus IT serve as content anchors for each section of the report.
