RedHat Technical Day – March 26

UFIT is hosting RedHat Technical Day on Wednesday, March 26. This event will feature presentations by RedHat representatives as well as presentations from UF staff who will share “best practices” and interesting ways they’ve leveraged RedHat in their operations.

RedHat Technical Day will be held in Smathers Library 1-A, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

1:00 p.m.   Introduction, Welcome
1:10 p.m.   Overview: Current UF and RedHat License
1:20 p.m.   RedHat Staff Introductions
1:30 p.m.   UF Best Practices: Andy Lievertz and Warren Brown, UF Museum of Natural History
2:00 p.m.   UF Best Practices: Charles Tompkins and Allen Rout, UFIT
3:00 p.m.   RedHat: Best Practices – Satellite, RHEL 7, and HA

The event will have an informal “user group” atmosphere with ample opportunity to ask questions of presenters. Preregistration is required. Make plans to attend if you currently work with RedHat Enterprise Linux or other RedHat solution, or if you are interested in learning more about RedHat options at UF. Refreshments will be provided.
