On January 8, Vice President and CIO Elias Eldayrie announced hires for two leadership roles and one interim director selection. Eldayrie also announced that Computing & Networking Services (CNS) is now two separate units: Enterprise Infrastructure & Operations and Network Services. The directors of both units will report to the CIO.
Enterprise Infrastructure & Operations will be led by Interim Director Chris Easley, who has managed UFIT’s ERP Infrastructure group for many years. Chris’s responsibilities now include computing and data center services. A search committee to recruit a Director of Enterprise Infrastructure & Operations will be formed in the next 12 months.
Effective February 14, Network Services will be led by Director Tom Livoti. Tom has 25 years of experience leading IT projects at UF, with the last 16 years in network management and telecommunications at UFHealth. Tom will be responsible for developing UF’s data and voice network strategy and road map, along with overall responsibility for data and voice network architecture, design, engineering, and operations.
Eldayrie also announced that Ayola Singh-Kreitz will now serve in the new, strategically-important position of ITSM Delivery Manager. Ayola’s focus will be on the delivery of service and process improvement initiatives. She’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure that IT processes and procedures are designed, integrated, and implemented utilizing best practices and industry standards. Ayola has been with UFIT for over 10 years, most recently as the manager of the UF Computing Help Desk.
