The 2016-2017 Contributions Report is now online. The publication is Vice President and CIO Elias Eldayrie’s annual report to university executives, deans, faculty, and the greater Gator community.
Often, hundreds if not thousands of hours of work are put into areas that amount to “keeping the lights on” for UF’s technology environment. Programming for mobile devices, Help Desk customer support, and other operational tasks are not the splashy announcements like a new supercomputer, but just as important to the university’s academic and research success.
“We strive to engage the university community on how University of Florida Information Technology (UFIT) supports and enables innovation through technology for everyone at UF,” says Eldayrie. “The value technology provides in support of desirable outcomes is outlined in this annual report in an easy to read format. I hope you will take a moment to review and share in the success we have all enjoyed this year.”
Eldayrie also communicated his warmest appreciation for the ongoing support UFIT receives. He says UFIT’s achievements are largely due to the partnerships with–and trust from–our campus. Anyone with comments or a question regarding the Contributions Report is welcome to contact VP Eldayrie directly, at firstname.lastname@example.org or @Eldayrie.
