UF Vice President and CIO Elias Eldayrie was recently named to the board of EDUCAUSE, the association for information technology in higher education. Eldayrie began serving a four-year term as a director-at-large in October.
“EDUCAUSE is an organization I strongly believe in. I have seen first-hand the positive impact it has had on higher education policies and direction,” Eldayrie said. “This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the national conversation on the strategic role of IT and something that I am extremely grateful to be able to do.”
Eldayrie joins a board of directors that includes executives from other elite public and private universities and organizations. His years of service to EDUCAUSE include being a member of the EDUCAUSE Hawkins Leadership Roundtable, serving as co-chair of the EDUCAUSE Higher Education Information Security Councils (HEISC), participation on the EDUCAUSE Information Technology Governance Risk and Compliance Program (IT-GRC), and as a member of the EDUCAUSE 2017 Program Committee.
