George A. Smathers Libraries and UFIT are hosting the inaugural UF Student Tech Fair, a showcase of campus organizations that offer IT-based services to students.

Tech Fair will take place on Friday, October 10, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in “Tech Plaza”, outside Marston Science Library and CSE. It’s your chance to learn about services like free, remote software access with UFApps, 3D printing in MSL, and what you can create in the A² Fab Lab. There will be tours of Collaboration Commons, info about iPad rentals, and representatives from UPD on-site to help you with personal and device safety apps like TapShield and FrontDoorSoftware. Fair-goers can also see the latest tech products available in the UF Bookstore and chat with a lynda.com representative about all of their free online training available 24/7. On top of giveaways at each table, Tech Fair attendees can enter to win an iPad Mini or a pair of Beats by Dre!

Check out the Tech Fair website for a list of organizations participating and learn how they can help enhance your college experience through the latest technologies available.
