For the 2014-15 academic year, UF topped all other universities in the lynda campus program in total number of users, total number of videos viewed, and total number of courses accessed. UFIT underwrites campus-wide access to lynda.com, providing free, 24/7 access to lynda’s library of digital courses.
Nearly 22,000 unique users from the UF community logged on to lynda between August 2014 and August 2015. Gator students, faculty, and staff watched more than 3,500 different course videos during that time, and totaled an astounding 492,294 video views. The Gator Nation is definitely packed full of expert Excel users: Excel was the second most popular course in their library this year.
Lynda.com is the perfect tool for closing skills gaps outside the classroom. Anyone with a valid Gatorlink account can access their 3,800+ course library. Whether you want to become an expert in RStudio, polish up your resume or that business plan, or simply learn a new DSLR photography trick, lynda.com has a video tutorial to help you.
Learn more about lynda.com at the Student Tech Fair on Oct. 2. Stop by Marston Science Library between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. to view live demos, ask questions, and see how #UFDoesIT.
