UF’s Distinguished Lecture Series for IT Presents Mark Minasi: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly…Windows 8 and Server 2012. This free, two-day workshop is February 6-7, in the 2nd Floor Auditorium of the Reitz Union.
Pre-registration is required.
Both workshop days open at 8:00am with refreshments, followed by a morning session from 8:30am-12:00pm. The afternoon session for both days will be from 1:00pm-4:30pm.
Mark Minasi is a best-selling author and in-demand keynote speaker and consultant. The workshop format for The Good, the Bad, and The Ugly will be dynamic in presentation, largely driven by audience questions and areas of interest. Discussion of Windows 8 is scheduled for day one. Windows Server 2012 discussions will occur over both days, since there is more information to cover. Minasi’s 30 best-selling books cover operating systems, networking planning, installation, and systems maintenance, so feel free to ask questions about a variety of topics. For a workshop outline visit the Technically Speaking page on UFIT’s website.
Minasi’s ability to take the most technical topics and explain them in plain English–often with humor–made his previous UF workshop a big success with attendees. UF’s Distinguished Lecture Series for IT is sponsored by UF Information Technology. Registration is open to all UF faculty, staff, and students.
