UFIT is upgrading the audio and video technology in Farrior Hall, home to UF’s Academic Advising Center. The project will be ready for the Spring 2017 term. Installation work includes:
- Two 70” flat panel informational displays for use in the ground floor entry area and second floor reception area.
- An 8’ wide projection screen for displaying walk-in device content in Conference Room 2024. Wireless connection capabilities and sound reinforcement are included in the design, along with an easy-to-operate touch panel user interface.
- An 80” flat panel display for use with walk-in mobile devices in Conference Room 2022. Wireless connection capabilities, sound reinforcement, and a user-friendly touch panel user interface are part of the system design, as are a conferencing camera and microphone that can connect to most laptops and PCs.
- A 10’ wide projection screen for large group presentations in Room 2000. An installed computer and connections for walk-in mobile devices are being integrated so a presenter can bring their media or device and just plug in and present! Videoconferencing capabilities are also part of the system and an in-ceiling speaker will allow the audience to fully experience multimedia presentations.
