Technically Speaking: November 5-6

Usability Class Picture

UFIT’s annual Technically Speaking training event will be held November 5-6 in the Reitz Union Auditorium. The focus this year is on university websites and optimizing the mobile experience.

The Technically Speaking series is UFIT’s biggest training event each year. Programming is determined by the campus-wide IT Training Committee, who schedule nationally-recognized leaders on a trending IT topic in higher education to lead the event. This year, the Neilsen Norman Group bring their analytics-based expertise to teach on these topics:

Day One
University Websites
Creating exemplary college websites with limited resources and organizational challenges

Day Two
The Mobile User Experience
Essential UX design principles for small-screen websites and apps

All UF students, faculty, and staff may register to attend one or both days of training.
Training is free but preregistration is required by Friday, October 31.
To register, visit the Technically Speaking Registration page.

After submitting your registration, a pop-up confirmation screen serves as verification of enrollment. Questions about the Technically Speaking event may be sent to Anne Allen, assistant director, UF Information Technology.
