The Office of the Associate Provost for Teaching and Technology and UFIT’s Center for Instructional Technology and Training (CITT) are hosting the 2012 Teaching Excellence Workshop:

The keynote will be delivered, via Web conference, from Lynda Weinman, founder of lynda.com. Ms. Weinman will speak on, “The Changing Role of Educators in the Digital Age.” Breakout sessions will follow on topics including active learning classrooms, social media, and the “flipped” classroom. Session content for the 2012 Teaching Excellence Workshop is designed to provide practical tips and ideas to integrate immediately into live or online classrooms.
The workshop is free, with lunch provided to on-site attendees. All presentations will be available via the Web. (Online attendees will receive an email closer to the date of the workshop with instructions for how to access the live broadcast.) To attend in person or via Web conferencing, register through the Division of Continuing Education conference department’s online registration system.
