Students–and Staff–Learn at 2019 Tech Fair

There were 2,078 student interactions tracked at the 2019 Tech Fair. Junior physics major Kasia Wiech was one of those students:

“Until today I didn’t know we could use Lynda.com for free!”

Kasia (pictured) also shared how impressed she is with UF’s eduroam service, having automatically connected to the secure network while in Oslo, Norway last summer. It was that kind of event–students learning about services and support while also providing candid feedback to staff about those they already use, like ONE.UF and UFApps. New participants to Tech Fair this year were the Disability Resource Center and a table recruiting TA’s for the Gator Computing Program, UFIT’s two-week intensive for high school students.

The raffle box was also a very popular Tech Fair destination! Students who win the AirPods or the iPad will be notified later this week. Anyone with questions or comments about Tech Fair are welcome to email the UFIT Communications team.
