UFIT’s Center for Instructional Technology & Training (CITT) is offering its Course Mapping Camp three times in CY 2021. This hands-on, two-day workshop is designed to help instructors build a pedagogically sound blueprint for any course. The first offering is scheduled for April 22-23. The Course Mapping Camp will meet on both days from 9:00-10:30 a.m. and 2:00-3:00 p.m.
Led by experienced instructional designers, the Course Mapping Camp begins with student learning outcomes, moving from course goals to the development of specific and measurable learning objectives. Next, instructors design student learning experiences and identify assessments, learning materials, and activities that support defined learning outcomes. Throughout the course design process, the Course Mapping Camp instructors will provide guidance and feedback to ensure alignment between goals, objectives, and assessments, and discuss tailored approaches to scaffold student learning.
Visit the CITT’s Course Mapping Camp information page for more details and to register. Until further notice, this workshop will be held via Zoom. Additional 2021 dates for Course Mapping Camp are Aug. 12-13 and Dec. 9-10. Workshop facilitators will email details to enrollees prior to the start date. Anyone with questions about Course Mapping Camp or other instructional design service is welcome to submit them via the CITT online form.
