UFIT is debuting a new training this semester–Survey Design Basics. In this two-hour session, learners will explore the six steps of survey design, how to create valid survey questions, and apply best design principles to real-world examples. This class is a great starting point or refresher for faculty, staff, TA’s, and graduate assistants who want to create surveys for academic, research, and feedback needs. Two sessions are scheduled this fall in Hub 221:
● Tuesday, Sep. 25, from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
● Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
UFIT also offers Qualtrics @UF training, which focuses strictly on using the Quatlrics tool to build, distribute, and report on surveys. (The Qualtrics survey tool is pre-assessed by UF’s integrated risk management office and available free to all faculty, students, and staff.) Survey Design Basics is a collaboration with the Division of Student Affairs to help the UF community use sound principles and best practices to survey development, regardless of the tool utilized. Register by visiting https://training.it.ufl.edu/training/ and searching on ‘survey.’ Anyone with a question about this training or any other offering in UFIT’s training and education catalog may email firstname.lastname@example.org.
