UFIT’s Center for Instructional Technology and Training (CITT) has a new offering: the Faculty Design and Development Cohort. This yearlong program, open to all instructors, focuses on best practices for designing pedagogically sound and engaging courses. As part of the program, each participant will be paired with an instructional designer to help them design and develop a complete course.

Limited to 15 participants, the Faculty Design and Development Cohort will meet in the Hub the second Thursday of every month (September 2019 through May 2020) from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Blending the models of faculty learning communities, communities of practice, and instructional design, this cohort will engage colleagues in discussions about their instructional experiences, progress on their course development, and teaching goals. Participants will also meet regularly with their instructional designer throughout the academic year. The cohort is designed to explore trends in teaching and learning (such as Universal Design for Learning), build relationships with other faculty across campus, and learn about resources available within UFIT and across campus. Additional details, including the application link, are online: http://citt.ufl.edu/training/dda/fddc/.

Please contact Assistant Director Shannon Dunn with any questions about the Faculty Design and Development Cohort or the CITT’s other training or consulting services.
