Help Desk Offers Online “Self-Help” Assistance

Self-Help Link on Help Desk Website

GatorLink issues getting you down? Instead of hiking over to the HUB for in-person assistance, try browsing the UF Computing Help Desk’s self-help page for instructions on everything from GatorLink password changes to connecting to a UF wireless network.

Password Updates
Whether you’re on an iPhone or an Android, Windows or OS X, you’ll find detailed instructions on how to change your email or wireless network password here.

Connectivity Instructions
The Help Desk has developed online step-by-step guides for VPN connection, wireless connection, and DHNet connection information for students who live on campus.

Supported Browsers Guide
The Help Desk keeps a running wiki of supported browsers for UF websites. If you’re having issues with website displays, check the wiki for troubleshooting recommendations.

How-To Videos
In addition to self-help docs, check out the UFIT YouTube channel for videos on the Help Desk’s services, updates to e-Learning, and more.

There is also a section for incoming students called New Gator Resources, with a handy list of computing resources available. If you have any computing assistance questions, visit (HUB 132), call (352) 392-HELP [4357], or email helpdesk@ufl.edu.
