The George A. Smathers Libraries offer free access to Vault.com’s database of “Top Ranked” lists, interview tips, and comprehensive job board. Vault.com also provides excellent examples of resume formatting and cover letters for a variety of career choices and situations. It’ll also help you impress employers with post-interview etiquette like thank you letter samples, acceptance letters, and even how to thank an interviewer following a rejection.
Lynda.com’s job-search tutorials offer specific resources to utilize pre- and post-interview. The “Job Search Strategies” video demonstrates how to network with personal and cold contacts, with tips such as the optimal length for phone calls that will establish rapport but also show you are mindful of busy professionals’ time. Learn how to best showcase your skills and accomplishments on LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and more with the “Job Hunting Online” video, or showcase your work with, “Create an Online Portfolio with WordPress.” UFIT provides 24/7 lynda.com access for free.
