The 2020 funding cycle is open for Technology Fee Academic Innovation Grants. “Tech Fee” funding is awarded to technology projects that will enhance UF’s teaching and learning environment. Complete program and funding information is on the Tech Fee website.
To increase the chance of securing funding for their ideas, students, staff, and faculty considering a submission are encouraged to review the https://it.ufl.edu/community/technology-fee/submitting-a-concept-paper/ page and confirm all requirements are met. Individuals interested in Tech Fee funding should consider partnering with a college or unit (including a Core IT unit) from the initial planning phase through implementation. The concept paper, signed off by a Core IT unit director, is a required part of the submission process. A list of the Core IT directors and their area of responsibility is listed in Item 4 on this page.
The deadline for submission of an approved Concept Paper is February 28, 2020.
Finalists will be notified and invited to submit full proposals. The Technology Fee Academic Innovation Grants Committee funding recommendations are forwarded to the Vice President and CIO for his consideration. Funding awards will be announced in Summer 2020.
