Did you know that some of your favorite magazines, newspapers, and films are available free through UF?
The George A. Smathers Libraries subscribe to many newspapers and journals so students, faculty, and staff can enjoy 24/7 online access to millions of articles. Additionally, the Libraries have added Kanopy, a new service offering that provides immediate, uncut access to thousands of award-winning documentaries, classic films, training videos, international theatrical releases, and more. Check out the titles and great topical search feature of the Kanopy streaming video service.
Thanks to a partnership between the Office of the Provost and Student Government, all University of Florida students, faculty, and staff also have one year of free access to The New York Times online. In order to retrieve your free subscription, log in to my.ufl.edu, and follow these breadcrumbs: Main Menu > Quick Links > NY Times. Please use your ufl.edu email account when signing up.
Questions about using library resources and services? You can text, email, call, or live chat through Smathers’ ‘Ask A Librarian’ page. Questions about the free online subscription to The New York Times can be emailed to UF Student Government.
