Flipped Classroom Seminar – October 9

Engineering Students

Instructors interested in learning more about the flipped classroom teaching model are invited to attend UFIT’s Flipped Classroom Seminar:

Flipped Classroom Seminar
Thursday, October 9, 2014
2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
2215 Turlington Hall (CITT Classroom)

The seminar will provide practical tips and ideas to help instructors successfully transform their course into a flipped/hybrid classroom. The Flipped Classroom Seminar will be taught by instructional designers from the CITT, with faculty experienced in using the flipped model on-hand to share their expertise and answer questions.

Benefits of the model, including increased student and instructor collaboration, will be discussed. In a flipped classroom, lectures are prerecorded so students can work through course material online before class sessions. Seminar attendees will learn how to effectively use class time to help students better comprehend concepts through group activities, problem sets, discussions, and educational games.

Visit the UFIT Training page to register. Questions about the Flipped Classroom Seminar may be emailed to Shay Potts, UFIT Instructional Designer.
