E-Learning Updates for Start of Fall 2018 Term

UFIT’s e-Learning support team provided the following system and training announcements for the start of the fall 2018 term:

1. The new Scheduler tool enables an updated workflow and interface within the Canvas Calendar, and allows instructors to create and manage appointment groups for course calendars selected within the user’s Calendar tool. Once an appointment group is created, users are able to see the appointment time slots on their calendar, whether the time slots are empty or have been claimed by a student, and more details about the appointment group. 2. Two options are available to enroll additional students in your course. Use either the “Manage Users” tool in Canvas or log into myUFL and follow this navigation: Main Menu > Student Information System > Online Learning > My Canvas Course Management. More information is available on UFIT’s e-Learning FAQ page.
3. E-Learning’s soft training tool is available to help instructors with the fundamentals for creating dynamic course content. The tool can be accessed by selecting the “Help” icon at the bottom of the left-hand navigation bar within Canvas and then selecting “UF Getting Started with e-Learning.”
