Students expect quick access to resources in this digital age with “Skip Ad” buttons and 140-character news. For students that want to tackle IT issues, UFIT has online self-help resources for DIY’ers:
UF Mobile App
With the UF Mobile App, new students can make the transition to UF easier by syncing course schedules to the campus map and tracking interactive bus routes. The Mobile App also has content and links for UF’s libraries and Gator dining hours as well as emergency information. Visit http://m.ufl.edu/ or get the app for free by searching “UF Mobile” and downloading it from the App Store or Google Play.
Tutorials from the UF Computing Help Desk
Besides 24/7 email and phone support, the UF Computing Help Desk has a terrific Wiki site that answers popular FAQs relating to IT services at UF. The Help Desk website also has a “Self-Help” tab with pages for new Gators, setting up email, getting connected to UF’s Wi-Fi, a link to UFIT’s YouTube page, and more. How else can we help you? Check out the new Help Desk services flyer!
