The UF George A. Smathers Libraries’ Data Management and Curation Working Group is holding a workshop, “What is a Data Management Plan?” on September 22. Anyone interested in or responsible for creating, producing, and managing data is encouraged to attend:
Date: Thursday, September 22
Time: 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Location: Marston Science Library Room 308
Increasingly, researchers are required to develop data management plans detailing the aggregation, dissemination, and preservation of their research. The training, facilitated by data management librarian Plato Smith and cataloger David Van Kleeck, will introduce workshop participants to key components and processes of a data management plan. The workshop facilitators will also provide UF resources and tools that assist in data management planning. Additional workshop information is available here.
To register, UF Library employees should visit the Library Staff Training Database page, log in, and select the “enroll” button for this workshop. All other faculty and staff may register by sending an email, including your name and the name of the course, to firstname.lastname@example.org.
