The George A. Smathers Libraries will host the 2016 SobekCM Code Camp on March 31-April 1. This free, two-day event is an opportunity to learn more about the SobekCM open source content management system, share information and discuss recent and ongoing changes with other users, and collaborate to improve the system for all institutions using it. The 2016 Code Camp schedule includes hands-on exercises and information/discussion sessions. To register, visit:
Day #1 will be general interest sessions covering technical topics with a wide scope of interest. Day # 2 is more developer-focused, with participants doing hands-on customization of the system and utilizing the new plug-in architecture. Participants are welcome to attend for some or all of the events. The SobekCM Code Camp is BYOD.
This event is being organized in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of the University of Florida Digital Collections (UFDC), which is powered by SobekCM software. The UFDC encourages faculty collaboration on digital collections and digital scholarship.
