Active Learning Initiative

Wordle image explaining what "Active Learning" is

Join a faculty learning community to share ideas and strategies for effective use of classrooms designed to promote active learning. The Active Learning Initiative (ALI) group will also discuss how active learning activities can be used in a traditional classroom space.

The ALI is geared towards faculty interested in using the active learning classrooms but the group is open to all faculty. (Graduate assistants and staff are also welcome.) Preparation is the key to providing a positive experience for both faculty and students within active learning spaces. Working with the ALI group can help save faculty time by learning what has worked well for others.

The first ALI group meeting will be on Monday, May 16, from 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. in 409 Yon Hall. Meetings will then be held every two weeks. Faculty, staff, and graduate assistants who would like to join the Active Learning Initiative group may contact Alexandra Bitton.
