An opportunity to learn about the many free tech services available to all UF undergrads is the reason that the annual Tech Fair event was created. This year’s Tech Fair is Wednesday, Oct. 10, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., in the Reitz Union Breezeway.
New Tech Fair participants in 2018 include UF’s Disability Resource Center (DRC), who will bring laptops enabled with Kurzweil software to the event. The Kurzweil technology is free for all students, not just students registered with the DRC, and is a terrific tool for studying, reviewing materials and lectures, and building retention skills. Also new this year is the Student Tech Fee. Did you know that students can make decisions about how their state-mandated tech fee money is spent? Stop by the Student Tech Fee table and learn how to submit proposals for spending what is collected from UF students each semester. The complete list of 2018 Student Tech Fair participants is on the https://it.ufl.edu/techfair/ web page.
This year’s raffle prizes are white AirPods and a silver, 32GB Wi-Fi enabled iPad. Come out for a chance to win these great prizes and learn more about the technology services and support available to you. #UFTechFair
