The 2016 funding cycle for Technology Fee Grants is now open. “Tech Fee” funding is available for projects that can enhance the technology used in UF’s instructional environment. Any member of the university community with an idea that fits funding guidelines is encouraged to submit a concept paper. A concept paper must be discussed with and signed off by a Core IT unit director. A list of directors and their area of responsibility is available under Requirements on the Submitting a Concept Paper page.
The deadline for the initial draft concept paper to be signed off by a CORE IT (i.e., UFIT) unit director is February 5, 2016. Final concept papers must be signed off by a CORE IT unit director and submitted by February 12, 2016.
Finalists will be invited to submit full proposals in April. After a review of the proposals, committee recommendations will be forwarded to Vice President and CIO Elias Eldayrie for consideration. Awards funding will be announced before the close of the Spring 2016 term. Program information, guidelines, templates, and previously funded projects are on the Tech Fee website. Please contact Anne Allen, support administrator for the Technology Fee Advisory Committee, with any questions about the submission process.
