UFIT and George A. Smathers Libraries present the third annual Student Tech Fair:
Friday, October 7
10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Reitz Union North Lawn
Tech Fair is a great opportunity to interact directly with campus IT experts about the services available to students and to try out the latest tech gadgets, including Microsoft HoloLens, Oculus Rift, and 3-D head scanning technology.
Participants include MADE@UF, the Infinity Fab Lab, UF’s Apple Service Center, and 11 others. Watch the 2016 Tech Fair video to see the full list of this year’s participants. In addition to trying on some new gadgets, make time to chat with the UFApps staff about free software access and stop by the lynda.com table to learn about thousands of free online courses–both of these services are available to students 24/7. Along with giveaways at each table, students attending Tech Fair can enter a raffle to win a UE-Boom Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker or Polaroid Snap Instant Digital Camera!
