UF Information Technology and the George A. Smathers Libraries are gearing up to host the second annual Student Tech Fair. There will be more high-tech demos this year since several additional campus IT service providers will be participating.
The 2015 Student Tech Fair is Friday, Oct. 2, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tech Plaza outside Marston Science Library and the CSE. You’ll wish you knew about UF’s many tech services since day 1 – and Tech Fair is your chance to learn. At the event you can immerse yourself in the latest technologies, including virtual reality headsets from the MADE@UF lab, 3D-printed doodles you can take home from MSL, and digital fabrication technology from the Infinity Fab Lab. Event participants will show you how to use IT services to propel your efforts – plus save you time, money, and plenty of headaches. Chat with UFApps staff about using software ranging from Mathcad to Microsoft, in app form anywhere, anytime. Discover the 1,000s of free lynda.com tutorials available and boost your skill-set. Along with giveaways at each table, fair-goers can enter to win an Apple Watch or a GoPro HERO!
Enhance your Gator experience with IT knowledge sooner rather than later: check out the Tech Fair website and visit Tech Plaza on Oct. 2 to see how #UFDoesIT.
